CURRICULUM
Classes in Wah Lum Kung Fu consist of rigorous training in basic exercises, stretching, forms training, and self-defense applications.

EMPTY HAND FORMS
Wah Lum hand forms are based on the Northern Chinese Long Fist forms which are strong, fast, and long in reach, with the influence of the deadly mantis hook hands. Hand forms are pre-arranged, self-defense movements that are important in building intuitive reactions of techniques, speed, strength, balance, stamina, and precision.

WEAPONS TRAINING
One of the characteristics of Chinese Kung Fu is the use of many weapons. Wah Lum incorporates the use of 24 different types, and are taught after the student has learned the basic exercises and forms.

SPARRING
Sparring is taught at the student's option and is also matched to the student's ability and rate of development.

 

T'ai Chi Ch'uan is a martial art practiced as slow moving exercise for those requiring a less strenuous exercise program. T'ai Chi improves balance, tones the body and promotes longevity. "Chi' or internal strength is developed after practicing T'ai Chi properly for an extended period of time. It is an exercise program for overall health and is known to cure certain ailments and illnesses, such as high blood pressure, nervous tension, rheumatism and digestive disorders. It is also ideal for regaining strength especially after a sickness or a feeling of lack of energy.
